MY JOURNEY

I was born in Brazil with a heritage steeped in coffee, as my grandfather owned a small roastery in the 1930s where my dad and uncle worked. My own coffee journey started back in 2005 when I moved to London, right at the renaissance of coffee culture in the UK. Here, as a student, I was gathering invaluable experience working at the coffee shops springing all over London, which ignited my passion for coffee and business. During that period, I would learn the importance of customer service, how to engender customer loyalty and the vital role a well-run motivated team played in delivering an elevated coffee experience, ultimately shaping me into the social entrepreneur I am today.

A DECADE OF EXPERTISE

In 2014 the culmination of all my experience and savoir-faire came together with the founding of my own coffee enterprise, ‘The Cosy Coffee Corner’, situated in the heart of the City of London, at the historic site of St. Mary Woolnoth Church in Bank. Here, City workers could seek refuge from the daily grind to enjoy a dose of ethically sourced coffee beans brewed into a delicious pick-me-up. As a team, we created a welcoming haven for the City worker where we knew our customers by name, and worked tirelessly to ensure the brand was ethical and sustainable in all areas. This blend of quality product, sustainable sourcing, and a strong community feel ensured enduring loyalty to ‘The Cosy Coffee Corner’ which, given the abundance of high street competitors, serves as a resounding affirmation of my social and business skills.
